This proposal is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) for St. Marys Cement Inc. (Canada) operating as Canada Building Materials Co., for a ready-mix concrete plant and associated pit operations located at 468 Bishopgate Road, Brant, Ontario.

This application is for one ready-mix concrete plant that include:

  • 5 baghouse dust collectors, boiler and emissions from delivery;
  • storage and handling of materials from associated concrete batching operations;
  • two portable crushing plants include:
    • one crusher;
    • one screener, conveyors and/or stacker;
    • one diesel generator and emissions from delivery;
    • storage and handling of materials associated with crushing plant operations and one portable aggregate washing plant that include:
      • emissions from delivery;
      • storage and handling of materials associated with wash plant operations

Contaminant emissions to the atmosphere include:

  • respirable crystalline silica;
  • particulate matter;
  • nitrogen oxides;
  • portland cement;
  • slag;
  • sulphur dioxide; and
  • carbon monoxide
